From acclaimed playwright Martin McDonagh comes The Beauty Queen of Leenane, a darkly comic and deeply unsettling exploration of family, loneliness, manipulation, and the desperate desire for escape.

Set in a remote village in the mountains of western Ireland, the play centers on Maureen Folan, a lonely, unmarried woman in her forties who lives with her aging, demanding mother, Mag. Trapped in a suffocating relationship fueled by resentment, emotional cruelty, and mutual dependence, Maureen dreams of a life beyond the walls of their isolated cottage. When a chance encounter with a former acquaintance offers the possibility of romance and freedom, the fragile balance between mother and daughter begins to unravel—with devastating consequences.

Winner of four Tony Awards, The Beauty Queen of Leenane masterfully blends biting Irish humor with psychological suspense, building from seemingly ordinary domestic squabbles to a shocking and unforgettable climax.

Wickedly funny, fiercely provocative, and emotionally explosive, this gripping theatrical experience explores the darkest corners of family relationships and the terrible price of dreams denied.
