This October, the 2015 Pulitzer Prize winner Between Riverside and Crazy by Stephen Adly Giurgus comes to the Atlanta stage to open our new season. Directed by Robby Myles.

Retired NYPD officer Walter “Pops” Washington clings to his rent-controlled Riverside Drive apartment while battling grief, addiction, and a long-standing lawsuit against the police department for a racially charged shooting. Sharing his home with his recently paroled son, Junior, Junior’s girlfriend Lulu, and a recovering addict named Oswaldo, Pops navigates a chaotic household and mounting pressure from city officials. As tensions rise and secrets unravel, Pops must confront his past and decide whether to let go or dig in. Stephen Adly Guirgis’s stunning play blends biting humor with raw emotion in a poignant exploration of justice, family, and redemption.
